Medical cannabis laws allow accessing cannabis goods with higher amounts of THC as compared to hemp. Despite that, more people seek cannabidiol because it lacks THC’s intoxicating effects. Federal legislation allows cannabidiol use, but some states still ban high THC products. Therefore, the industry regards THC as a recreational product and cannabidiol as a medicine. However, according to a recent piece of research, high THC marijuana is medicinally better as compared to a low THC CBD item. The study found that marijuana consumers who seek prompt nausea relief want more tetrahydrocannabinol and less cannabidiol.

The University of New Mexico’s researchers have been monitoring cannabis consumers’ habits, symptoms, and effects with an application. They discovered that those who consume cannabis to reduce nausea symptoms got relief in five minutes. Anyhow, they also discovered that cannabis flower smokers got more and faster nausea relief than someone using edibles or vaporizers.

Most surprisingly, the researchers also found higher THC goods more effective as compared to cannabis derivatives with higher cannabidiol. Those who use cannabis items high in cannabidiol got less relief from symptoms on average, as per research featured in the Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology’s April 2021 edition.

The study’s co-author said that the study’s most surprising outcome is that recreational THC appeared to make treatment better among cannabis flower users, whereas CBD appeared to be giving less relief. This study looked at 2,200 sessions of marijuana self-administration from 886 consumers seeking nausea relief from June 06, 2016, to July 08, 2019. Those users reported which items they were consuming, which issues they were attempting to ease, and monitored how cannabis impacted those symptoms.

Interestingly, they discovered that hybrid or sativa flower buds outperformed indica varieties. The authors commented that in the sessions with flowers, higher THC and lower CBD were usually attributed to better symptom relief. That may be a welcoming piece of information to anybody who extolls THC’s medical advantages, but the study results are not all good, said the authors. Another study co-author, Sarah Stith, said that tetrahydrocannabinol’s long-term impacts on pregnant women, children and other high-risk groups, create concerns.

It is also worth noting that nausea belongs to one of the many symptoms and that cannabidiol may be much more efficacious in easing others than THC. Anyhow, at least, discoveries such as this make us wonder whether CBD hemp oil benefits outweigh THC’s benefits, as many people claim.
